Hello!
I'm Tara
Hi, I’m Tara Lofrano, founder of Lickskillet Soap Co.

My love for natural ingredients and curiosity about goat milk soap inspired me to create handcrafted skincare made with care, intention, and locally sourced goat milk from Swisher Hill Farm.
At Lickskillet Soap Co., every bar is handmade in small batches using thoughtfully selected ingredients designed for gentle cleansing. Our goat milk soap offers a creamy, luxurious lather without the harsh additives often found in commercial soap.

I believe skincare should feel simple, pure, and comforting — made for everyday use and crafted with the kind of care only a small-batch soap maker can provide.

Welcome to Lickskillet Soap Co., where handmade goat milk soap brings natural skincare back to something beautifully simple.

Questions we get asked often!
Do you offer fragrance-
free options?
Yes, our "Just Soap!" is completely unscented, ideal for those who prefer simplicity. We have an unscented version of the Lux Body Cream and an unscented version of our
goat milk lip balm.
What makes goat milk soap unique?
Goat milk soap is loved for its creamy lather and gentle feel on the skin. Naturally rich in fats and skin-conditioning components, goat milk helps create a smooth, nourishing bar that leaves skin feeling clean, soft,
and comfortable
What is the difference between commercial (store-bought) soap and Goat Milk soap?
Many commercial soaps are made
with synthetic detergents that can
strip natural oils. Our handmade
soap is crafted with nourishing,
natural ingredients that
provide a luxurious experience.
How is Lickskillet Soap Co.’s goat milk soap made?
All our soaps are handcrafted using a traditional cold-process method. We use fresh goat milk sourced locally and blend it with premium oils like olive, coconut, and shea butter. The soap is cured for six weeks, ensuring a long-lasting, high-quality bar.
What are your shipping options and policies?
We use the most economical way to ship orders to you. Currently, we only ship to addresses in the United States. Please note that once shipped, the arrival date is not guaranteed. We also offer local delivery and porch pickup!
Can I customize a soap order for gifts or events?
Yes! We offer custom soap orders for special occasions such as weddings, corporate events, or boutique retail. Whether you need a specific scent or personalized packaging, we can create soaps tailored to your needs. Contact us via email for more details.
How long will my goat milk soap stay fresh?
Our goat milk soaps remain effective for years, as the natural curing process continues to enhance the quality over time. While the scent may fade slightly after about a year, the soap’s beneficial properties remain intact. Keeping it out of direct light and heat will help.
Where do you get your
goat milk?
We source fresh goat milk locally from Swisher Hill Farm in Dewitt, Illinois, known for its prized Nigerian goats. We then freeze the milk to maintain its utmost freshness until use.
Why is lye (sodium hydroxide) used in your soap? Can you make it without it?
Lye is used in all true soap. You cannot make soap without it. Once the lye is mixed with the oils during the soap-making process, a reaction called saponification occurs over the next
24-48 hours. After this period,
no lye remains, and you have
beautiful, handmade soap!

Our handcrafted soaps are made with simple, natural ingredients chosen for their ability to create a rich lather, smooth texture,
